Samson inkstand porcelain imbedded in a bronze frame of still-leaf frieze and foliate toupee feet. The rectangular panel with central vignette depicting landing geese, flanked by heart & fan-shaped vignette on an uppercase ground of honeycomb motif and a lower case of flowers on dotted green. Two cubic inkwells with flying birds covered with bronze hinged domed & pierced lids.
Émile Samson (1837-1913) was probably the most famous manufacturer of reprodutions; Samson used the special mark seen here - back of the rectangular panel - on Japanese and Chinese style. 34.3 x 19 cm (13” ½ x 7” ½)

A large Meissen group with a seated deity amidst puttis holding garlands, bellows (Vulcan attribute) and a peacock (Juno attribute). The winged, bald and mature deity is most likely Neptune, the god of the sea. It could be also Vulcan - the blacksmith god, also the most unsightly, Venus's husband.
Underneath: incised D82, impressed 61, painted 19 in ochre and crossed swords underglaze blue.
The group exhibits the taste of 19th Century with Neo-Classicism taste and strong palette. 22 cm x 22 cm (8” 5/8 x 8” 5/8)

GDA Limoges (actual Royal Limoges) 1900-1920.
In 1900 Edgar abbot became a partner in the company that existed since 1816, it was renamed Gerard, Dufraisseix & Abbot (GDA); at some time, perhaps the 1970s, Royal Limoges was added to the name.
