the signature DUVIV of the engraver Benjamin Duvivier, Graveur général (1774-1791);
below the bust is the mint director's privy mark of a bee (Jean-Claude Gabet (1785-1793).
Reverse: coat of arms intertwining shields of France and Navarre;
legend: CHRS.REGN.VINC.IMPER "Christ reigns, defeats and commands";
1787; eagle head before the date = Master Engraver Jean Humbert Bernavon (1760-1793);
below the shields is the mintmark D for the Lyon mint.
