Hungarian legend FERENCZ JOZSEF I.K.A. CS.ES M.H.S.D.O.AP.KIR «Franz Joseph by the Grace of God Emperor of Austria and Apostolic King of Hungary, Croatia, Slavonia, Dalmatia»;
1904 in exergue.
Reverse: coat of arms, Holy Crown of Hungary on top, with angel supporters;
below is the mintmark K.B for the Körmöcbánya (Kremnica) mint;
with the denomination in Hungarian 10 Korona;
above is the Hungarian legend MAGYAR KIRALYSAG (Hungarian Kingdom).

Franz Joseph I (1830-1916), length of reign 68 years.
Married to Elisabeth of Bavaria “Sisi”; their only son, Prince Rudolf died by suicide in 1889, in Mayerling.
After the death of Rudolf, the heir to the throne was his nephew Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
In 1914, Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in Sarajevo, leading to World War I.
Franz Joseph died in 1916, two years later the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy dissolved
