Esper builds information systems using state-of-the-art technology. We have built information systems in support of air traffic management, tracking aerial training flights over sensitive ecological zones, and real property and environmental data management. We also design and build websites: from simple online retail storefronts to complex enterprise information management systems.
The technologies common to these systems include an underlying robust database management system with spatial data management and data security features, geographic information systems for processing and rendering spatial data, and other system components for manipulating different media types (e.g., images, video, and sound). We use a variety of open source and commercial products to build systems, including Drupal, osCommerce, dotProject, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, OpenLayers, GeoServer, and many others.
Our Software Development Facility
Esper has a fully equipped software development facility to manage in-house projects. The facility supports development for UNIX and Microsoft Windows platforms and has tools for Configuration Management as well as software defect reporting and tracking.
Our personnel have complete access to development resources over the Internet through a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN), meaning that managers and developers have access to all project information and repositories from any location with access to the Internet.
